Christ on a stick it's gotten busy in work recently, seems like it's all come at once!
Anyway just a quicky to remind myself there are other things appart from work at the moment.
I'll catch up with everything soon I hope, then I can restore some normality to my life.
Been trying to cut down on my spending, it had gotten a bit out of hand recently, I'm keeping a log of all my spending at the mo, it's a bit of an eye opener.

Well that's the first (short) work week completed in 2005!
Have to admit I've not done much, I will have to buckle down and get on with it in the next couple of months.
At least it's the weekend and I have to really crack on with the decorating this month.
I shall try and get the bathroom sorted over the weekend and then use that momentum to carry on an finish the rest of the house.
Hopefully it will fill up my time as well, I really need to fill my empty time with constructive stuff.

Well I eventually got to Germany, flight was delayed so I nearly didn't make it to the train we needed from Munich, poor Gaby had to hang around a freezing platform while my train from the airport got to the station.
She's had a bad flu for the last couple of days, so I've been nursey for a while, she's had a fancy for cooked sprouts and boiled eggs so I've been making a lot of those for her, the sprouts seem to have no noticeable effect on her, but I'm going to stay upwind of her for a while!
It's been fairly quiet so far, done a bit of shopping and I think we're going to have a quiet xmas.
Was given a very nice bottle of whisky by a certain gent, for which I'm very grateful.
Anyway I'll put up more here when more has happened.

Well that's work over for a couple of weeks for me.
Sorting shit out tomorrow and then up to London and on to Germany on Sunday.

What is it with Christmas these days, when I were a lad we had a tree with some decorations and some tinsel around the house, but not any more!
FUCK ME, these days you need a small power-station in the back garden to power not just the lights in the house, but the fuckers on the house, on the roof, and in the bastarding garden!
There is nothing that reminds me more of the Christian values than a 3/4-size nativity scene that lights up in the dark plonked on the front lawn!

Think of all the energy that is being wasted, it drives me mad.
Another thing that gets me is the faux good will to all men that people seem to have during this time of year - bollocks to that, do it all year you fucking hypocrites!
Anyway I'm going for my traditional Wednesday curry now, and if I see Santa I'm going to piss on him.
Rant over.

Not really had much to say lately.
Can't say that there is much going on in my life appart from work and going home to sleep at the mo.
Will treat myself to a curry again tonight, think I might get a bit tipsy as well.
One of the profs. in work is doing my fucking head in. Had me working on his PC for working at home, I had a good rummage around as one does, and this PC is being used somewhere appart from his home, so I do all the fucking work for him to lend the PC to some biz.
Oh well, goes with the position, I was half expecting him to tell me to carry it to his car, I hate to think what I would have said if he had!
Everything else is going ok, sorted the flight to Germany out over christmas, had to take 4 days holiday, but I do get 2 weeks off for that 4 days, bargain!
Anyway I think I'll fuck off home soon.

Trouble is I didn't play, had to ring him up to ask if we were playing only to have him say 'sorry can't do it tonight, I should have let you know earlier'. Which made me think - hold on, I rang you! Bloody dildos.
Not feeling to well, headache, tired and listless, think I might have an early one tonight.
Been given another project in work, that must be about 20 now. I'll finish one someday soon ;)

It's the weekend.
Everything went ok with the Dr. this morning, prodded my face and neck for all of 3 minutes but at least I will only have to go back on a yearly basis now. Maddy seems to have perked up as well, she was worrying me a bit.
Mr. Downer has raised his ugly little head again, and it's been a bit of a struggle over the last 2 days, even told one of the post docs to bugger off today, she looked a bit put out, didn't mean to upset the poor girl. I'm going to try and lose myself in Halo 2 this evening and have a couple of drinkies, at least it will keep my mind occupied, I also got a couple of books in Carmarthen when I was down there so I've got stuff to do.
I'm supposed to be meeting up with a guy I used to work with years ago tomorrow, we'll see how things go.
Anyway I'm going to go and eat something now - God I can see myself turning into Marvin the android (well appart from the brain the size of a planet) someone give me a slap!

Whey-hay, halfway through the week and it's curry night.
I'm so popular I've taken to talking to myself, trouble is I keep getting into arguments.
As you can probably guess I've failed yet again to get someone to sit opposite me for a meal in the curry shop.
I think I might invest in an inflatable friend, purely for company you understand!
Trouble is that would probably not get on with me and run off with an inner-tube or something.
Fuck it I feel a vindaloo coming on!
Must not forget the lager, bollocks to it I'm going to go and get pissed whilst I'm at it.

Not much to say at the moment, keeping busy in work, not got much else to do.
Played and lost at squash tonight, but my game is definately getting better as he had to work for the win.
I'm going to be stiff tomorrow, and I've got to give a demo on the ImmersaDesk - every time someone visits the dept. out come the glass atoms!
Hope the fucker works, it can be a tempremental thing!
The cat doesn't seem well, she's sleeping a lot and quite listless, I'll take her to the vet Friday after I come back from my checkup in the hospital.
Pity I have to lose half a day's work for 4 minutes of a quack poking the side of my face, but hey ho, there we go.
Off to read my book in bed now, these dark nights are horrible.

Got quite a lot done today, and the day just flew past up until about half past four.
Told them all that I would be unable to do any work for them until I've finished with the big SGi machine, I'm sure the shit will hit the fan about that, but is't the only way I'm going to get it done.

Whooopie it's the weekend!
Had my mate up from Cardiff last night for a few drinkies.
Result I'm not hungover at all after it, HURRAH!
Also the modem in the PB is fixed and I no longer have to keep pulling the cable in and out to get it to work, hope it lasts *touch wood*
Think I'll have a lazy Saturday, got a nice bottle of wine and I've got to catch up with my unwatched DVDs.
But I must get on with the bathroom tomorrow, I've been putting it off for way to long.
That's it for today, I can't see anything earth shattering happening so I doubt I'll have anything to put on here.

Had a lovely curry last night (alone before you ask), pity it's given me rather terrible windy-pops today.
Pity my arse puffing can't blow away that idiot the good ol' US of A has elected as head chimp!
Busy in work, must do more as well, some of this stuff needs all my attention, but it's a tad difficult when people keep bugging me for small things.
Oh well it's what they are paying me for I suppose.
Mac came back from apple today so hopefully the modem problem will have been fixed, but I will not find out until I get home tonight.

Well the Powerbook has gone back for its second visit to Apple now.
I hope they can fix the bloody modem problem this time as I am really fed up with it.
So I am going to be without the interweb at home for a time, who knows it might do me good not being wired at home for a while.

Tooth is feeling better now, but still quite painful, there is a little flap of skin half over the erupted molar, it's quite gross to look at in the mirror - I'm turning into an alien!
The weather was really miserable this morning but it's clearing up at the moment and I do believe I can see the sun!
Need to pop to the post office with a couple of letters and also need to pay a cheque into the bank, it's all go innit ;)
I've sold something on ebay to a person in the middle of the Pacific, I wonder if the post office will know where it is, this could be fun when I go there.
Anyway that's it for now, got to go and do some real work for a change, but at least I'll get amy new 64bit machine next week, so I'll have fun building that for about 5 mins...
